Is there usable LAN or WiFi in the pool hall, and a reliable internet uplink? Is there a UPS?

Working assumption: neither. The system runs fully on a local server with its own WiFi;
internet is optional and used only for publishing. Design for a laptop dying mid-event
without data loss.

Confirming this early is cheap; discovering it on the day is not.
